Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and us about using Ownwise. Please read them before you create an account or buy anything. In short: Ownwise is for learning, you must be 18 or older, keep your account to yourself, and do not copy the paid content.
1. Who we are
Ownwise is run by Nikita, a private individual based in Kazakhstan who uses the name "Ownwise Creator" for the site ("we", "us"). Ownwise is not a company, a school or a university, and it has no partners. You can reach us at ownwisecreator@gmail.com. More about us: About and contact.
Ownwise is open. The paid practice pack is sold by our reseller, Dodo Payments (section 6).
2. What Ownwise is
Ownwise offers short practice sessions about money decisions in a small business: costs, price and margin, cash flow. You read short lessons, answer questions, work through made-up cases and can try the same calculations on your own numbers. Some blocks are free; others are part of the paid practice pack.
Ownwise is for learning. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. The businesses and people in the cases are made up, and the results come from a simplified teaching model, not from a forecast. Read the Disclaimer.
3. Who can use Ownwise
- You must be 18 or older. Ownwise is not meant for children.
- You can use the free blocks without an account. Your progress then stays in your browser.
- An account is for one person. Give a real e-mail address that you can read, keep your password secret and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- Confirm your e-mail with the link we send you. Until you do, you can learn and save your progress, but AI feedback and purchases need a confirmed e-mail. We send you only e-mails about your account and your purchases, never newsletters or ads.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account.
4. Your answers, notes and numbers
What you write and enter on Ownwise (answers, explanations, notes, the numbers of your business) stays yours. You allow us to store it and use it to run Ownwise for you: to save your progress, to show it back to you and, when you ask for AI feedback, to send your explanation to our AI provider. How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.
Please do not write other people's personal data or sensitive information (for example, about health, or bank card numbers) in answers and notes. The notes and numbers fields are for your learning, not for storing business records.
5. AI feedback
When you are signed in with a confirmed e-mail, you can ask for AI feedback on a written explanation after you have tried it yourself. The feedback is written by an AI model (Claude by Anthropic). It asks guiding questions and comments on your explanation against the author's checklist. It does not give a mark, and it can be wrong. The author's review and sample answer are always shown next to it, and numbers are checked by the site's code, not by the AI.
AI feedback has daily limits per question, per person and for the whole site. It may be unavailable at times; the rest of the block works without it. Do not try to make the AI do something else than review your explanation.
6. Purchases
- How to buy. On the unlock page: sign in with a confirmed e-mail, tick the box below and pay on the checkout page of Dodo Payments. A purchase marked "test mode" (only in a test copy of the site) moves no money.
- Who sells. Purchases are sold by Dodo Payments, our authorized reseller and merchant of record. It sells the practice pack to you, takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT and sends your receipt. Its Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase. We never see your card details.
- What you buy. The practice pack: one payment, no subscription. It opens every paid block of the Ownwise track for your account, the blocks published now and the blocks we add to the track later, with their updates. We plan to add more blocks, but we cannot promise dates. Another track, if we make one, would be sold separately.
- Price. $29 (US dollars, taxes included). If your billing country is on our local-price list (the low and lower-middle income economies of the World Bank, listed below), the price is $19. The checkout page sets the price by the billing country you enter and shows the final price before you pay.
The 72 countries with the $19 price

Source: World Bank income groups, fiscal year 2027 (low and lower-middle income), read on 2026-10-16. A country can be sold to only where the payment provider allows it.
- Before you pay. A purchase needs an account with a confirmed e-mail. You tick a box: "Give me access now. I understand that I lose my 14-day right to withdraw once access starts." If you live in the EU or the UK, this is how the 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content ends when access starts. After the payment we e-mail you a confirmation with the order and this choice.
- Access. A purchase gives your account access to the paid blocks; access is personal and cannot be passed on. If a payment is refunded, or your bank takes it back, the paid blocks close again; your progress stays.
- Refunds: see the Refund Policy.
7. Fair use
Please do not:
- copy, sell or publish the paid content, or share your account so that others can use it;
- try to get into parts of Ownwise you have no access to, or to break or overload the site;
- collect content or data from the site with automated tools;
- use Ownwise against the law or to harm others.
If someone breaks these rules, we may limit or close their account. We will tell you why, unless the law forbids it.
8. Our content
The lessons, cases, questions and design of Ownwise belong to us or are used under a licence. Some blocks use outside materials or ideas from the author's own studies; each one and its basis is listed on Sources and licences. You may use the content for your own learning. You may not copy it for other people or for sale.
9. Changes and availability
Ownwise is new and still changing: blocks, features and prices may change, and the site may be unavailable at times. If we change these terms, we publish the new version with a new number and date. If you have an account, we show you what changed and ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in or open Ownwise; until you do, you can still download your data or delete your account.
10. Ending
You can stop using Ownwise at any time and delete your account in your profile. Deleting the account deletes your progress and access to paid blocks; the Privacy Policy lists what stays.
11. Our responsibility
We do our best to keep the content correct and the site working, but Ownwise is provided as it is. We are not responsible for business decisions you make after using it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live, or our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
